Donald J. Brown

Donald J.  Brown, age 81, Logansport, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, January 25th, in Aperion Health Care, Peru.

Born April 25, 1944, in Logansport, he was the son of Betty Zimmerman, who preceded him in death.

He was married to Carol (Dexter) Brown, who survives.

Don retired as a licensed agent at Norris Insurance and worked at Logan Lumber Do-It Best after retirement.

Among his passions, he loved fast cars and owned and drove a 1965 GTO. He loved football and baseball; he especially liked the Chicago Bears. He loved his cats and dogs.

Don was a family man, loving his grandchildren and coaching his children in baseball.

Surviving are sons, Jeff Brown (Paula), David Brown (fiancé, Megan); daughter, Catherine Wood; brothers, Jim Cook (Shawnee), Jim Zimmerman (Barbara); sisters, Carol Lee Powlen (Tim) and Beth Upton.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jacqlyne, Britleigh, Andrew (Kristyn), Dakota, Sylis, Katy Jo; great grandchildren, MaKalyn, Keyan, Kourtlyn, and  Hunner

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in Spring, 2026.
